why sky is blue?

    During the day time sky appears blue due the reason that the light which is made up of seven colors((red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet) each having different wavelength. So the light coming from sun also follows the same principal. When the sun light enters the earth’s atmosphere it collides with air particles and causes scattering of light so the light with the shorter wavelength scatters more by collision than light with longer wavelengths. So, we see sky as Blue.

    Because blue colour of light is of shorter wavelength so easily scattered by dust particles and water vapour.
